OSAT Blog Hop - Holidays

 

Welcome to the One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop for November - Holidays!  I hope you enjoyed the great projects from Renee!  I am excited for my Christmas project and card!!!

Both my card and project use the Joyful Season stamp set from Stampin' Up!  

The card base is Whisper White thick cardstock and embossed with the Woodland embossing folder.  The layers were cut out of Cherry Cobbler and Whisper White using the Ovals framelits. I love the cardinal in this stamp set!  The outline is in Memento Black, body is Cherry Cobbler, beak is Pumpkin pie, snow is Soft Sky, and branch is Early Espresso.  To finish off the card I used the sentiments out of the Flurry of Wishes stamp set punched out with the scallop oval punch.  The wooden snowflake was ink in Versamark and embossed with gold!

 
The project was made out of the mini treat bag and Season of Cheer DSP.  One of my favorite newer adhesives - Tear & Tape was used to but the bag together.  It is stuffed with hot chocolate & a candy cane for a small gift for teachers, neighbors, etc.  I used the metallic foil dollies and gold cording with the tag to embellish the bag.  The same Joyful Season stamp set was used in the color scheme from the card.

ICS Blog Hop Giving Thanks

Welcome to our November ICS blog hop!  I hope you have enjoyed the blogs thus far.  This month is all about being thankful.

I have seen this ink on brayer to embossing folder technique lately, so I thought I would try it.  I was inspired by cards by Billie Moan and Tami White for this card.  

I had a lot of fun applying the Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, and Crushed Curry inks to the Woodland embossing folder with a brayer.  It sure did make a mess! :)  The Vintage Leaves were stamped in Memento Black on cardstock as the same background colors.  The Thankful comes from the Stampin' Up! Hostess Six Sayings stamp set and is embossed in gold on vellum paper.

October D's Stamping Team USA Giving Thanks

Welcome back to the D's Stamping Team blog hop for October!  This month is all about giving thanks.  I volunteered to make place cards for our family's Thanksgiving dinner, so I thought sharing those this month would be perfect for the theme.

I started with a 4.25x5" piece of Crushed Curry cardstock.  I scored it at 2.5" and folded over to create the tent.  From the September 2015 Paper Pumpkin stamp set I took four of the stamps and mounted them all on the same clear block.  These were stamped in Crumb Cake ink on the Crushed curry cardstock.  The leaflet framelits were used to cut out the large leaves in Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler.  The sentiment is from the same Paper Pumpkin kit and stamped in Versamark & embossed in gold powder.  Here's a photo of the kit.

The leaves were then adhered with Stampin' Dimensionals.  They are done and await names for Thanksgiving dinner!

OSAT Blog Hop - Halloween/Fall

 

Welcome to the One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop for October - Halloween/Fall!  I hope you enjoyed the great projects from AJ.  I decided to make a Halloween card and project for the hop this month.

The card is a Z-Fold card that actually is a gift card holder as well.  I made two of them as I will be sending them to my niece and nephew for Halloween.  To make the Z-Fold I took a 4.25x11" card base and scored at 5.5" and 2.75."  The Happy Halloween stamp comes from the Witches' Night stamp set.  Hiding inside the card is the gift card holder stamped with a sentiment from the Hostess stamp set Six Sayings.

I wanted to make a project that I could make multiples of for our neighbor friends.   My project was inspired by Connie Stewart's Easter baskets (http://simplysimplestamping.com/oval-framelit-easter-basket-one-sheet-wonder/), but I changed it up a bit for Halloween.  The Oval Framelits (3rd smallest) were used to make the pumpkins in Pumpkin Pie cardstock.  The leaves and stem come from the bird punch in Garden Green.  :)  I used the Witches' Night stamp set also for the project sentiment.  See all the details at the bottom of the post.

ICS Blog Hop Fall for All

The crisp Fall air has come to the St Louis area the last few days which means Halloween and the wonderful Fall season!  I am excited for another amazing ICS blog hop!  If you are working your way through the hop, thanks for stopping by from Joni's.

The theme for this month's hop is Fall for All!  Fall is my favorite season, so I really enjoyed making this card.  I thought I would try the baby wipe technique for the first time.

Most of the Stampin' Up! 2014-2016 In Colors make a great Fall color pallet along with Tip Top Taupe from the 2015-2017 In Colors.  To do this baby wipe technique you drop 3 drops multiple times from your ink refill onto a few baby wipes folded in half.  I had mine on a plate so the colors didn't bleed all over my table.  You then use this as your ink pad to stamp.  The For All Things stamp set was used for this card as it is one of my favorites with the watercolor look.   The thick Whisper White cardstock has very quickly become my go-to cardstock for card making!  The sentiment is in Blackbery Bliss on Hello Honey cardstock.

October Christmas Card Club

Every month from September to December on the first Thursday of the month I host a Christmas card club.  This month was all about snow and blue.

Here are all the details and the supply list is at the bottom.

Sending You a Flurry of Warm Christmas Wishes Card 

(Inspired by this card http://stampinbythesea.com/flurry-of-wishes)

1.       Stamp sentiment in Island Indigo and cut out with Lots of Labels framelits.

2.       On Whisper White card piece stamp snowflakes in Night of Navy and Island Indigo.

3.       Stamp two sets of small snowflakes – one each in Night of Navy and Island Indigo.  Punch out.

4.       Use Dimensionals to pop 2 snowflakes on snowflake piece.

5.       Add dazzling details to snowflakes.

6.       Use snail to adhere DSP piece.

7.       Add snail and put silver cording.

8.       Add sentiment with Dimensionals.

9.       Stamp sentiment inside in Night of Navy.

10.   Use Dimensionals to pop 2 snowflakes on inside.

11.   Use snail to adhere snowflake piece to front and inside sentiment/snowflake piece inside.

12.   Optional – stamp envelope.

 The other card uses the very versatile Stampin' Up! Wonderland stamp set.

Silent Night Card

1.       Stamp Silent Night sentiment in Memento Black on bottom of thick Whisper White.

2.       Stamp trees in Wonderland in Memento Black at full and half strength.

3.       Tear roughly ½” along bottom of 5 1/4x4” Whisper White piece until you like how it lines up with sentiment on card base.

4.       Sponge middle in Soft Sky.

5.       Sponge around edges in Night of Navy.

6.       Set aside to dry.

7.       Stamp snowflakes in Whisper White craft ink.

8.       Set aside to dry.

9.       Use snail to adhere trees piece to card base.

10.   Add rhinestone.

11.   Optional – stamp inside or on envelope.
