OSAT Blog Hop - Thank You

Welcome to the One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop for December with a theme of Thank You!  I hope you enjoyed the great projects from my friend Tina!

I was raised where I had to write a thank you for any gift or money I got for my birthday or Christmas, so Thank You cards are near & dear to my heart!  I recently got some of my Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog pre-order items, so I wanted to use them for this month's blog hop.

The Botanical Gardens suite was used for both the card and tag on the thank you gift.

Here's the card details....
  • Cajun Craze card base
  • Botanical Gardens DSP layer 4" x 5 1/4"
  • Mint Macaron square 3 1/4" x 3 1/4"
  • Whisper White layer 3" x 3"
  • Watercolor Thank You embossed in Gold
  • Washi Tape is out of the new Botanical Gardens Designer Washi Tape
  • Flowers are made from the Botanical Builder Framelits in vellum and Mint Macaron

I was trying to figure out what to do for the Thank You project and decided to make thank you gifts for my loyal customers this year.  I have an event next week and plan to give them these ornaments with paper crafting supplies.

Here's the project details....
  • Mint Macaron 2" x 3 1/4" cardstock and inked in the same color with the Botanical Blooms stamp set
  • Ornate tag topper punch
  • Sentiment is from Endless Thanks and stamped in Memento Black and cut out with the Washi Label punch
  • Botanical Builder Framelits were used again for the flowers along with the Itty Bitty Accents punch.  The middle of the flower was accented with washi tape.

I hope you have enjoyed my card and project!  Thanks for stopping by and check out the next blog in our hop, Kim!

ICS Blog Hop Perfectly Packaged

Welcome to our December ICS blog hop!  I hope you have enjoyed the blogs thus far.  Christmas is approaching very fast!  The theme for our hop this month is Perfectly Packaged just in time for the holidays!!

I love giving baked goodies as gifts, so I decided to come up with packaging for one I will be making - zucchini bread!

The card is using thick Whisper White cardstock for the base, Pacific Point as an accent, and Whisper White front.  Soft Sky, Island Indigo, and Pacific Point were used for the snowflakes from the Flurry of Wishes stamp set and the coordinating punch.  The sentiment is stamped in Memento black ink.

I thought it would be fun to have a tag to go with the baked gift.  Marina Mist, Island Indigo, Night of Navy, and Pacific Point were used for the snowflakes also with the coordinating punch.  The sentiment is found in the Flurry of Wishes stamp set and the To/From is from the Wondrous Wreath stamp set.

I have to say that my favorite part was making the packaging for the bread!

It took me five tries to figure out the correct dimensions!  Here are the dimensions and scoring/cutting details.  The cardstock is 7.75" x 6.75" and is scored 2" on each side.  Cut two slits on each side.  I then stamped snowflakes on it using the same stamp set as the tag and card.  To make the container for the bread - fold the corners in first and adhere to the two middle side flaps using tear & tape adhesive.  Our marvelous Stampin' Up! Silver Cording (48 inches) was used to tie the bread into the container and the tag.

Note: The bread was made using a Wilton pan that has 8 mini loaves.

Thanks for stopping by my post in the ICS blog hop!  The next stop in your hop is Claudia!
Happy hopping & Merry Christmas!!

Christmas Card Club Classes

Since September I have been doing a Christmas card club class once a month, and I had my one last class tonight.  In September, October, and November they created 5 cards of 2 different designs. Today they made their favorites from the 6 designs.

Here are the 6 cards we have made over these months!  Over the next few weeks I will be posted more details for each card.
