A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - Sprinkled With Love

Welcome to our fabulous A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!  Every month I receive a surprise card/project kit from Stampin' Up!, and the May kit is doughnuts.

I decided to take a totally different approach for my card and project.  I went with a nautical/summer theme.

The card used a Dapper Denim card base and a Whisper White layer inside.  I took one of the cards from the kit and cut it apart to give me two "doughnuts."  For this blog I will call them life preservers going forward.  For the life preserver I added with Stampin' Dimensionals - four strips of Real Red cardstock.  These were trimmed up once adhered to the life preserver.  The bakers twine was attached with glue dots to the back of the life preserver to make it look like rope.  The light blue banner on the card was included in the kit.  The sentiment was stamped in Memento Black.

The project is using one of the kit envelopes as a gift card envelope.  The sentiment (in Memento Black) is part of a white banner and then trimmed.  The life preserver is made exactly as I did for the card.

I hope you enjoyed my card and project.  Thanks for visiting!  Your next hop in the blog is Lori!
