I am excited to join this ICS (Inspire Create & Share) blog hop this month! I am an avid paper crafter, and I have loved to start blogging & utilizing my IT (computer) background. I reside in the St Louis area and am an Independent Demonstrator for Stampin' Up! Besides paper crafting I love spending time outside in the gardens (both flower & vegetable) and sports!! Diane and Anna are also new to the blog hop this month and great paper crafters! If you are hopping along in order of our hop you have just come from Joni's wonderful blog!
This month our theme is to introduce the Holiday Catalog to you! Hopefully by now you all have your own personal copies of this catalog...if not please contact your demonstrator to get one because it is fabulous! If you don't have a demonstrator let me know I would be happy to get one to you!
The moment I saw this stamp set at convention and in the Holiday catalog I knew I had to have it. If you know anything about the St Louis area it is known as "Cardinals Nation!" I love this set both for baseball and the holidays!
My card has a Whisper White thick cardstock (which I love!) base layered with Mossy Meadow cardstock, and DSP from the Season of Cheer pack. The Joyful greeting is heat embossed with silver. The cardinal outline is stamped in Memento Black and two step stamped with the body in Real Red (twice), eye area in Memento Black, and beak in Pumpkin Pie. I used a little white ink pen to bring out the eye. I fuzzy cut the cardinal out! The branch is stamped on Soft Sky in Early Espresso ink, and the cardinal feet are in Memento Black. I adhered the cardinal with dimensionals and added some dazzling details to look like snow. I accented the cardinal and background with the new silver cording trim which I absolutely love!!
Thanks for stopping by my first post in the ICS blog hop and I look forward to it for many months to come! The next stop in your hop is the fantastic, Andrea! Happy hopping!!
