ICS Blog Hop - Year of Cheer Speciality DSP

Woo Hoo it's the first Wednesday of the month you know what that means RIGHT? ICS Blog hop time! Our theme this month is December to Remember!  December is by far one of my favorite months because it is both my birthday and Christmas!!

I have a need for gift card holders for Christmas presents, so this was the perfect project to make for this blog hop.  This is the first time I have used the beautiful Year of Cheer Specialty DSP!

The gift card holders started with cardstock (5 1/2" x 8 1/2") that I scored on the long side at 3 1/2" and 7".  I then created panels from the Year of Cheer Specialty DSP 3 1/4" x 5 1/4" (two of this size) and 1 1/4" x 5 1/4" adhered with snail.  The beautiful gold foil snowflake is attached with a few glue dots hidden by the sentiment.  The sentiment is from the Merry Little Labels stamp set, and it is cut out with the coordinating punch - Everyday Label.  It is then popped with a few Stampin' Dimensionals. 

For the inside gift card pocket I used a little tear & tape adhesive on the ends to create the pocket.  For a couple of the gift card holders I used these awesome Velcro dots to keep the card closed.  Here's a photo of what I purchased.  I found them at Wal-Mart in the sewing craft aisle, but they can be found multiple places.  They were the smallest size available there.

Day 3 - Hearts Come Home - 12 Days of Christmas Cards

Welcome to Day 3 of my new card series - 12 Days of Christmas Cards!

Last week I held my final Christmas cards class of the year!  Those attending could make as many or as few cards as they wanted.  Over the next couple weeks I will be sharing all the cards made and their details.  There is still time to place an order for supplies to make your Christmas cards.  Contact me ASAP if you want to place an order.  I'm SOOOO excited that this stamp set is carrying over!

Steps:

1.     Cut out village scene from Whisper White cardstock.

2.     Stamp sentiment in Night of Navy.

3.     Use glue to attach village scene to DSP.

4.     Use snail to adhere DSP to Thick Whisper White card base.

5.     Attach heart enamel shape.

6.     Optional - Stamp inside sentiment in Night of Navy.

Day 2 - JOY - 12 Days of Christmas Cards

Welcome to Day 2 of my new card series - 12 Days of Christmas Cards!

Last week I held my final Christmas cards class of the year!  Those attending could make as many or as few cards as they wanted.  Over the next couple weeks I will be sharing all the cards made and their details.  There is still time to place an order for supplies to make your Christmas cards.  Contact me ASAP if you want to place an order.  Today's card was by far one of the favorites!

Steps:

1.     Stamp flower in Garden Green, rotate 180’, and stamp again (without re-inking) on Whisper White (3” x 4 1/4").

2.     Stamp berries in Real Red.

3.     Cut out J & Y letters from Real Red cardstock.

4.     Use glue dots to attach letters.

5.     Use snail to adhere Whisper White layer to Real Red.

6.     Use Stampin’ Dimensionals to pop Real Red layer to DSP.

7.     Use snail to adhere DSP to Thick Whisper White card base.

8.     Use glue dots to attach Garden Green bow.
