OSAT May Clean and Simple Blog Hop

Happy May and welcome to another OSAT Blog Hop!  The theme for this month is Clean & Simple!  This has to be one of my favorite themes!

I needed a thinking of you card with a small gift so this is the perfect theme.  I wanted to showcase the Fresh Fruit stamp set and it's coordinating Fruit Stand DSP since they are some of my Stampin' Up! favorites and retiring very soon.

The card is a thick Whisper White card base.  The strawberry from the Fresh Fruit stamp set is stamped in Cucumber Crush & Watermelon Wonder and cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  The DSP strip is 1" x 4 1/4".  The sentiment in from the Window Shopping stamp set and is stamped in Cucumber Crush.

The project is a tea bag holder and for it I used the Fruit Stand DSP.  The envelope punch board is used to create the holder.  The size is 3" x 3 1/2" so the DSP size is 5 3/4" x 5 3/4".

The sentiment is also from the Window Shopping stamp set in Cucumber Crush.  It is punched out with the 1" Circle punch and hole punched.  Two layers of Whisper White bakers twine closes the holder.

I hope you have enjoyed my card & project!  Your next stop in the hop is from Jessie!  Enjoy the hop!

ICS Blog Hop Oh So Succulent

Woo Hoo it's the first Wednesday of the month you know what that means RIGHT? ICS Blog hop time! Our theme this month of May is It's A Girl Thing!  I also wanted to showcase some of the Occasions Catalog products before it ends at the end of the month.

Enjoy the hop and feel free to leave us some love in the form of a comment, we love hearing from you!

I needed a special birthday for my husband's grandmother's 80+ year old birthday.  I wanted to showcase the retiring (I'm super sad it's retiring!) Oh So Succulent stamp set and the 2016-2018 in-colors.  This card was inspired by a card I found here.

Card base is Sweet Sugarplum  - 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4"
Next layer is Peekaboo Peach - 5 1/2" x 3 3/4"
Next layer is Shimmery White - 5 1/2" x 3 1/2"
Inside card layer is Whisper White - 5 3/8" x 4 1/8"

I used all the 2016-2018 in-colors with the Oh So Succulent stamp set.  The outlines are stamped in full strength and the filler stamp is stamped off (half strength).  Sweet Sugarplum was also used for the sentiment layer.  The sentiment is stamped in Emerald Envy and cut out with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.  The sentiment was popped with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I hope you enjoyed my card!  The next stop in our blog hop is Nichole

A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - A Sara Thing Kit

Welcome to our fabulous A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!  Every month I receive a surprise card/project kit from Stampin' Up!, and I think this April kit has got to be my favorite!  This kit was designed by our wonderful Stampin' Up! CEO, Sara Douglass.

I love the predefined cards that are in this kit, and they were the inspiration for my card.  I decided to add a little bit more of our new 2017-2019 in color - Lemon Lime Twist and some butterflies.

The butterfly is cut out of one of the Basic Black card bases and the butterfly layer is cut out of the patterned paper inside of the kit's envelope.  I used Lemon Lime Twist with an aquapainter to color in the background paper.  The Basic Black layer is 5" x 3 3/4" with a Thick Whisper White card base.  The sentiment is stamped using Archival Basic Black.  There's a little bit of blink added with rhinestones.

My project is using a 3" grapevine wreath.  I absolutely love embellishing these little wreaths!  The sentiments is stamped on the patterned paper inside of the kit's envelope and cutout with a 2" circle framelit.  To sturdy it up I attached it to the Whisper White cardstock found in the kit.  The sparkly flowers and the leaves are part of the standard kit.  I placed the leaves (which are stickers) on a layer of Whisper White cardstock found in this kit and then cut them out.  The leaves and the sentiment are attached to the flowers with glue dots.  Hot glue was then used to attach the flowers to the grapevine wreath.  The project is finished off with Whisper White baker's twine.

BLOG HOP GIVEAWAY:  To be entered into a drawing for a FREE "A Sara Thing" Paper Pumpkin Kit, you must leave a comment on EVERY blog.  Drawing closes on Saturday, April 29th at 9 PM EST. The winner will be announced on Monday, May 1, 2017.

I hope you enjoyed my card and project.  Thanks for visiting!  Your next hop in the blog is my friend, Tina!
