A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop - A Sara Thing Kit

Welcome to our fabulous A Paper Pumpkin Thing Blog Hop!  Every month I receive a surprise card/project kit from Stampin' Up!, and I think this April kit has got to be my favorite!  This kit was designed by our wonderful Stampin' Up! CEO, Sara Douglass.

I love the predefined cards that are in this kit, and they were the inspiration for my card.  I decided to add a little bit more of our new 2017-2019 in color - Lemon Lime Twist and some butterflies.

The butterfly is cut out of one of the Basic Black card bases and the butterfly layer is cut out of the patterned paper inside of the kit's envelope.  I used Lemon Lime Twist with an aquapainter to color in the background paper.  The Basic Black layer is 5" x 3 3/4" with a Thick Whisper White card base.  The sentiment is stamped using Archival Basic Black.  There's a little bit of blink added with rhinestones.

My project is using a 3" grapevine wreath.  I absolutely love embellishing these little wreaths!  The sentiments is stamped on the patterned paper inside of the kit's envelope and cutout with a 2" circle framelit.  To sturdy it up I attached it to the Whisper White cardstock found in the kit.  The sparkly flowers and the leaves are part of the standard kit.  I placed the leaves (which are stickers) on a layer of Whisper White cardstock found in this kit and then cut them out.  The leaves and the sentiment are attached to the flowers with glue dots.  Hot glue was then used to attach the flowers to the grapevine wreath.  The project is finished off with Whisper White baker's twine.

BLOG HOP GIVEAWAY:  To be entered into a drawing for a FREE "A Sara Thing" Paper Pumpkin Kit, you must leave a comment on EVERY blog.  Drawing closes on Saturday, April 29th at 9 PM EST. The winner will be announced on Monday, May 1, 2017.

I hope you enjoyed my card and project.  Thanks for visiting!  Your next hop in the blog is my friend, Tina!
