OSAT Blog Hop – No Rules New Year

Happy New Year!  I am so excited to be back stamping & hopping with the OSAT group this month!  The theme for this month is No Rules New Year!  As a Stampin' Up! demo it's an exciting time of year where Sale-a-Bration and the Spring Occasions catalog have just started.  I decided to showcase the Everyday Hero stamp set that is in our new catalog.

We are big superhero fans in our family!  Our favorite tv shows include Supergirl, Flash, and Arrow so this stamp set is perfect!

My card I made is for my hubby and will probably give it to him for Valentine's Day.  It is a thick Whisper White card base, a 5 3/8" x 4 1/8" layer of Pacific Point, and a layer of 5 1/4" x 4" layer of Basic Grey.  On the Basic Grey layer I stamped (twice) the city scene in Memento Black ink.  I stamped the city scene again on Smoky Slate and cut it was out.  I found this idea in our Spring Occasions catalog.  This layer is popped with Stampin' dimensionals.  The super hero (I think it looks like Superman!) was stamped in Memento Black ink and then colored in with markers of Real Red, Pacific Point, and just a touch of Daffodil Delight.  He is cut out using the Layering Circle Framelits.  I stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point on Whisper White and cut out with the Duet Banner punch and also a layer of Pacific Point cardstock.  The sentiment is also popped up with Stampin' dimensionals.

I decided to do a coordinating post-it note holder for me to use.  The frame is a plastic 4" x 6" frame from the dollar store.  In the photo section I slid in a Basic Grey layer I stamped (twice) of the city scene in Memento Black ink.  The post-its notes are adhered using Tear & Tape adhesive.  The super hero (I think it looks like Supergirl!) was stamped in Memento Black ink and then colored in with markers of Real Red, Pacific Point, and just a touch of Daffodil Delight.  She is cut out using the Layering Circle Framelits.  I stamped the sentiment in Pacific Point on Real Red and cut out with the Duet Banner punch.  It is popped up with Stampin' dimensionals.

I hope you have enjoyed my card & project!  Your next stop in the hop is from Melissa.  Enjoy!
