Welcome to our February ICS blog hop! I had to take the month of January off, so I'm excited to be back in the blog hop this month. I hope you have enjoyed the blog hop thus far! The theme for this month is "It's a Love Thing" which means I decided to make a Valetine's Day card for my hubby.
The card base is Night of Navy followed by layers of Tempting Turquoise (4" x 5 1/4"), Whisper White (3 3/4" x 5"), and Marina Mist (3 1/2" x 4 3/4"). The Marina Mist layer was embossed using the World Traveler embossing folder that is new in the Occasions catalog. The embossing folder was inked with a brayer using Marina Mist ink to make the water portion of the globe appear darker. The Sky is the Limit set was used for the airplane, and it is stamped in Memento Black on Whisper White and fuzzy cut out. The heart clouds & sentiment are stamped in Real Red on a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut out with the Lots of Labels framelits. Many of the layers are popped using Stampin' Dimensionals to add some dimension to the card.
Thanks for stopping by my post in the ICS blog hop! The next stop in your hop is Deb!
