ICS Blog Hop imbringingbirthdaysback
Welcome! It's ICS blog hop time! Our theme is #iambringingbackbirthdays inspired by Shannon West one of the trainers at Stampin' Up!. She posted on her Facebook page in January that social media had ruined the good old fashioned birthday card and she was bringing them back this year! One of her posts said if you wanted a birthday card to let her know, I did and I look forward to getting a card in December. Shannon also carved out a stamp to use on her cards. Well let me tell you the idea really caught on! I bet the post office is loving her! Stampin' Up! took that carved stamp and made one we could all have too! I decided to use that stamp for my card this month!
The card base is the Thick Whisper White cardstock, a layer of Tempting Turquoise, and then the front layer is the regular Whisper White. I stamped in a number of Brights collection colors with the small balloon from the Balloon Celebration stamp set. This stamp set has become a favorite of mine! I stamped & punched out a couple balloons popping them with Stampin' dimensionals. The balloon by the sentiment has a bit of Whisper White bakers twine attached via a glue dot on the back. The sentiment is Memento Black stamped on Whisper White and then matted with Rich Razzleberry.
On the inside I added a few balloons and a Happy Birthday sentiment from the same set as the balloons.
Thanks for stopping by my post in the ICS blog hop!
The next stop in your hop is my friend, Tina!
