OSAT Blog Hop - Love is in the Air

Welcome to the One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop for February with a theme of Love is in the Air!  I hope you enjoyed the great projects from my friend, Tina!

This card is a fun size 4 1/8" x 4 1/8" in Crumb Cake.  There is a Whisper White square layer 4" x 4" and Crumb Cake 3 7/8" x 3 7/8".  The Love Blossoms DSP stack is used with the Balloon Celebration punch & stamps to create the front of the card.  The inks used are Memento Black and Rose Red. The envelope was custom made with the Envelope Punch Board & 2015-2017 In Colors Envelope Paper.

I struggled for what to come up with for my project.  I will be seeing my niece and nephew around Valentine's Day, so I made them the card above and a little treat.  They adore Star Wars, so I found these fun Campbell's soups to give to them.  I create a square base out of thick Whisper White cardstock 4 5/8" x 4 5/8" and score 1" on each side.  I then made 4 cuts to those inch lines to make slats and adhered them with tear & tape adhesive to create the base.

Here is a more detailed view of the tag.  The tag base is thick Whisper White (cut out with the second largest Banner framelits) and embossed using the Happy Heart folder.  The heart section was made with the fourth normalest Circle framelits.  3 circles were cut out in Whisper White, Real Red, and Window sheets.  For the Real Red layer I punched out the Sweetheart first and then cut it out with the framelit.  The hearts border punch was used to create all the Rose Red confetti for the inside of the shaker.  The Real Read to Window Sheet was adhered with Fine Tip Glue.  I used foam mounting tape (from Scotch) to the Whisper White circle.  The Teeny Tiny Wishes was stamped in Real Red and punched out with the Word Window and popped with Stampin' Dimensionals.  The tag was then attached with gold or silver ribbon.

I hope you have enjoyed my card and project!  Thanks for stopping by and check out the next blog in our hop, Melissa!

Triple Time Stamping & Embossing!

A customer recently asked for my WOW card class to do a card that combines triple time stamping & embossing!  This is what I came up with!

The Mossy Meadow pieces are:
4 1/4" x 11" scored at 5 1/2"
3 1/4" x 4 1/2"
2 1/4" x 3 1/2"

The Whisper White pieces are:
4" x 5 1/4" (two of these as you need one on the inside)
3" x 4 1/4"
2" 3 1/4"

The Grateful Bunch stamp set has quickly become one of my favorites in the Occasions catalog.  I used a little snail adhesive to stack the 3 Whisper White layers together to stamp & emboss.  I generally put a bit of snail adhesive down and stick my finger on it a few times to make it less tacky.  I carefully start stamping and make sure the pieces don't shift.  This card used 4 out of our 5 In Colors (Hello Honey, Mossy Meadow, Tangelo Twist, & Blackberry Bliss) with the Grateful Bunch stamp set.  I used the In Colors since they will be retiring in June.  After I was done stamping I made sure it was dry and carefully put it in the Brick Wall embossing folder.  In order to make the imprint rather than a raised surface for the embossing folder the front of the card was against the side of the folder that has the Stampin' Up! & Sizzix logos.  After you are done stamping & embossing you are ready to use snail adhesive to layer the Whisper White & Mossy Meadow pieces.  Stampin' Dimensionals were then used to pop each set of layers.  I has to finish the inside with a sentiment.

ICS Blog Hop It's A Love Thing

Welcome to our February ICS blog hop!  I had to take the month of January off, so I'm excited to be back in the blog hop this month.  I hope you have enjoyed the blog hop thus far!  The theme for this month is "It's a Love Thing" which means I decided to make a Valetine's Day card for my hubby.

The card base is Night of Navy followed by layers of Tempting Turquoise (4" x 5 1/4"), Whisper White (3 3/4" x 5"), and Marina Mist (3 1/2" x 4 3/4").  The Marina Mist layer was embossed using the World Traveler embossing folder that is new in the Occasions catalog.  The embossing folder was inked with a brayer using Marina Mist ink to make the water portion of the globe appear darker.  The Sky is the Limit set was used for the airplane, and it is stamped in Memento Black on Whisper White and fuzzy cut out.  The heart clouds & sentiment are stamped in Real Red on a piece of Whisper White cardstock cut out with the Lots of Labels framelits.  Many of the layers are popped using Stampin' Dimensionals to add some dimension to the card.

Thanks for stopping by my post in the ICS blog hop!  The next stop in your hop is Deb!
